Fiona Ridgewell
When Disney films start messing with your grip on reality and Percy Pigs become a legitimate topic of intellectual debate, you know you're in the presence of Fiona Ridgewell. This Barnehurst-born comedy powerhouse traded her dance shoes for a microphone after realising that four-hour audition queues and crushing rejection weren't quite as fun as making audiences howl with laughter. A former stage school kid with a skewed take on modern life, Fiona's conversational style feels like the best night out with your funniest mate—if that mate also happened to be a five-time winner of The Blackout at Up The Creek and jointly won the Best Newcomer prize at the (ish) Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2023 for her show No-Nonsense. She's conquered Beat the Gong at The Comedy Store, reached the finals of Funny Women 2020, and placed third in the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2024. When she's not performing her critically acclaimed shows Believable and Contender, you'll find her co-hosting the Be Fairy Afraid podcast, where fairy tale folklore meets proper belly laughs. A favourite on the Comedy Boat since 2024, Fiona's joyful, silly, and refreshingly honest comedy about Percy Pigs, mood boards, and searching for that elusive fairy-tale ending has made her one of the most exciting names on the UK circuit.
