Hamish Shepherd

Dark, sarcastic, and deliciously cheeky—Hamish Shepherd delivers comedy with the kind of bite that makes you laugh before you've even processed what hit you. This Australian transplant made waves in Sydney before relocating to London, where he's quickly become a favourite on the Comedy Boat and beyond. His ancestors were apparently sent to a penal colony for being too funny (among other crimes), and he's clearly inherited the family gift for trouble-making humour.

Since arriving in the UK, Hamish has been racking up accolades faster than you can say "g'day." He's conquered the Comedy Store's King Gong, claimed victory at The Blackout at Up the Creek, and won The Ding Dong Gong Show at Big Belly. In 2024 alone, he was shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Awards and reached the finals of Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year. Not satisfied with that, he also made it to the semi-finals of Spirit of Comedy Cardiff in 2025—all while being a two-time state finalist for Australia's National Raw competition before his big move.

Whether he's dissecting the absurdities of modern life or delivering razor-sharp observations with that distinctive Aussie edge, Hamish's sets are a masterclass in controlled chaos. A regular fixture at Rum Monkey since 2024, he's proven time and again why he's one to watch.
