Laura Quinn Goh

Picture a 4ft 11in ball of Singaporean sass who crossed continents to perform comedy about falling in love with a man on death row—and somehow makes it darkly hilarious. Laura Quinn Goh stormed the Scottish scene in late 2021, quickly becoming a weekend regular at famed venues like The Stand and Monkey Barrel before conquering London's circuit with sets at Big Belly, Backyard Comedy, and The Boat Show. Her debut solo hour, You, Me, and Your Prison Officer, sold out runs in Manchester, Glasgow, and Singapore, tackling heavy themes like censorship and the death penalty with trademark irreverence. A finalist in the 2024 West End New Act competition and recipient of a Special Mention for the Spirit of Glasgow Award at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival 2023, she's also graced screens on STV and Comedy Central UK. Since bringing her fierce energy to the Battersea Barge, she's become a favourite on the Comedy Boat, delivering sets that blend sharp social commentary with wickedly personal storytelling. Whether she's skewering Singapore's pro-death penalty stance or sharing erotic prison letter tales, Laura proves that sometimes the darkest material makes for the brightest laughs.
