Mariah Girouard
Don't let her tiny frame fool you—Mariah Girouard commands a stage with the ferocity of someone who's survived attempted murder and lived to tell jokes about it. This Barcelona-based American firecracker has been tearing up comedy clubs across Europe, from winning Barcelona's Comedian of the Year (2022) to snagging the Brighton Fringe Award (2023) for her split show with Jamie Lerner. She's a semi-finalist on Romania's Stand-Up Revolution and took her debut solo hour 'Good Girl' to Edinburgh Fringe 2024, proving she's anything but the good girl society expects her to be. Mariah fuses stand-up, storytelling, and spoken word into a raw, unhinged cocktail of female sexuality, dating disasters (Latino vs British men, anyone?), and societal expectations. She's hosted the infamous Midweek Crisis at The Comedy Clubhouse Barcelona, performed at poetry slams, and regularly brings her chaotic energy to our stage at The Rum Monkey—a favourite on the Comedy Boat since 2024. Self-described as "hateful and a bit of a bitch," but working to better herself, Mariah delivers comedy that's equal parts relatable and uncomfortable, sexy and savage. Whether she's ranting about hypochondria, vaginal vindictiveness, or the time she definitely didn't serve c**t, she's the scapegoat who'll say everything you've always wanted to but couldn't out of fear of being a bad person.
