Michael Hackett

Michael Hackett is a Manchester-born comedian currently based in London, where he regularly performs at The Rum Monkey Comedy Club. Standing at an impressive 6'7", Hackett's journey to stand-up comedy is as unconventional as his towering presence. Originally trained as a dentist, he left the profession to pursue his dreams at a French clown school—only to be expelled. Undeterred, he joined the circus as a trapeze artist but suffered a testicular injury in an accident, finally leading him to pick up the microphone and follow his true calling in comedy.

Hackett's career has flourished with notable achievements including winning Victorious Festival 2022, authoring the bestselling book 'Gobsmacked!' about his dental experiences, and releasing his acclaimed stand-up special 'Rogue Boy'. He's a regular panellist on Ustreme's 'Left Right & Centre' and has graced the Edinburgh Fringe Festival stage multiple times with shows like 'A Giant Misfit' and 'The Late Mike Show'. Known for his dark comedy, razor-sharp crowdwork, and fearless storytelling, Hackett delivers provocative, high-energy performances inspired by comedians like Dave Chappelle and Bill Burr. Now a husband and father, he continues to tour extensively across the UK and internationally.
