Otter Lee

With the kind of stage presence that makes Disney villains jealous and queer icons swoon, this NYC-born comedian has been making audiences laugh from Brooklyn to Battersea. As a Chinese-American queer artist who literally wept outside Kensington Palace at age four over Princess Diana's death (while dad took photos and laughed), they've transformed childhood trauma into comedy gold. Their Emmy-nominated voice work on Stephen Colbert's "Tooning Out the News" and Comedy Central's "Fairview" proved they could bring the funny to cartoons, but it's their live stand-up that really sparkles—complete with Disney parodies, musical comedy numbers, and the occasional story about a pet tadpole. After co-producing NYC's First Asian Comedy Festival in 2020 and making waves at the Edinburgh Fringe 2024 with their debut solo show "Princess Syndrome," they've become a favourite on the Comedy Boat since 2024, bringing their sassy mix of storytelling, stand-up, and show tunes to delighted Rum Monkey audiences. Whether they're dissecting racism in the gay community or belting out reworked lyrics from "The Little Mermaid," they remind us that sometimes you end up a little more Camilla than Diana—and that's perfectly fabulous.
