Sian Doughty
Picture this: a posh, mild-mannered woman clutching her son's comedy notebook walks onstage—and proceeds to unleash material so deliciously filthy that the entire room does a double-take. That's Sally Firth, the gloriously deranged alter ego of Sian Doughty, a character comedian who's been bamboozling audiences with her deadpan depravity since 2014.
Sian started her stand-up journey in October 2013, but it was the creation of Sally—ostensibly a respectable mother stepping in when her comedian son can't make a gig—that truly set stages alight. With a performance style likened to "Theresa May meets serial killer," Sally's innocent exterior and steel-trap delivery have earned her a trophy cabinet that would make most comics weep: she's a two-time King Gong champion at the London Comedy Store (2017 and 2022), a Beat the Frog World Series finalist, a Funny Women 'One to Watch', and a three-time blackout champion at Up the Creek.
A favourite on the Comedy Boat since 2024, Sian has clocked up approximately 900 gigs across London's circuit and beyond, bringing her award-winning character work to Edinburgh Fringe three times and leaving audiences equally charmed and scandalized. She's proof that the best comedy comes from the most unexpected packages.
